This fall, Stamford, CT is debating a new ordinance that would ban gas-powered leaf blowers for most of the year — allowing use only from October to December.
The proposal aims to cut down on noise and air pollution while encouraging a shift to quieter, cleaner electric tools. Violations would first get a warning, then fines of $50 to $100.
